To create an account we ask for name, contact number, email address. We also make records of hair history, recent appointments with us and which products, if any you bought.
If you contact The Hair Lounge, we may keep that record of correspondence.
Without these details we would not be able to carry on our business and provide our services to you. We will only collect such personal information if it is necessary for one of our functions or activities.
Some of the people working in our salon are self-employed. Where software systems and reception facilities are shared, our self-employed colleagues will have access to your information.
We will not share your information with any other third party without your consent except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.
We may use or disclose personal information held about an individual for the primary purpose for which it is collected (e.g. provision of our services, including administration of our services, notification to you about changes to our services, record-keeping following termination of our services to you and technical maintenance). We may also use such information for a purpose related to the primary purpose of collection and where it would reasonably be expected by you that we would use the information in such a way. This information is only disclosed to persons outside our business in the circumstances set out in this policy or as otherwise notified to you at the time of collection of the information.
Unless you request otherwise, we will keep your information to contact you no more than three times a year.
We will delete all your personal information when the information is no longer required by us.
2. Using your data for marketing purposes
We require you permission to send any marketing or promotional emails.
If you subscribe to our mailing list but decide you would like to opt out of receiving further marketing emails you can unsubscribe at any time. This will not affect you receiving confirmation or reminder emails. There is a link on all our emails which you can remove yourself from the mailing list.
3. How do we keep you data secure?
The information is collected through Ovatu. Ovatu requires a password to access. The Ipad we use requires password and fingerprint recognition.
The only data stored as a hard copy is your name and when you last received an allergy test. This is stored under lock and key within the salon.
4. Requesting a copy of the data we hold
You can request a copy of all the data we currently hold on file for you. We are legally required to provide this to you free of charge and within a month of the original request.
5. Requesting we delete all data we hold.
If you want us to delete all information we have on file we are legally required to do so should you request it.
The Hair Lounge was opened in May 2014 By Tori Kiff. Tori is a fully qualified hair stylist, with over 5 years experience working for salons in Barnstaple and North Devon. Tori is passionate about hairdressing and committed to providing an excellent service at reasonable prices, and so decided to open her own salon to fulfil her ambitions.
